September Readings
September has been a busy month for me. I’ve written new poetry, workshopped three poems, and partcipated in two poetry readings. One in Wilmington where I was a featured reader alongside other Port City Poets and another in Raleigh as part of the North Carolina Writer’s Network and the Poetry Spark Convention. I’ve been follow the advice of Jean Jones (a great poet and mentor) and reciting more of my poems from memory instead of reading them from pages and aside from a few memory flubs, it’s been okay.

Midnight Sun
Ana Ribeiro and I wrote an impromptu poem at Bottega Bar & Gallery a few months ago titled “The Midnight Sun” and Christopher Pendergraft liked it so much that he made a video interpretation of it.
